I have a low mileage 2012 XKR that I purchased a few months back. The car works perfectly ,with 1 exception ... The cruise control doesn't work.
When you press any cruise control buttons, the multi display says "cruise control not available".
When ECM codes are checked, it returns U0104-00 (cannot communicate with cruise control module).
The car has been checked out by Jaguar Service. They checked all wires, switches, and buttons. They all checked out. They even uploaded the latest ECM program, but that didn't help. They couldn't find anything wrong with it, and gave the car back to me.
As noted, the car has "standard" cruise control (not adaptive cruise control). It has been verified that the options in the ECU are set for "standard cruise control". This is especially odd, because Jaguar said I should not get the U0104 error unless it's trying to communicate with the Adaptive Cruise Control module.
Jaguar service currently has no suggestions, and doesn't know what to try next.
Not certain on the X150's but the X100's have a brake switch that incorporates two microswitches, one for the brake lights and the other to kick out the cruise control. If they didn't operate simultaneously, the cruise was not available.

Jaguar service said they checked the brake pedal switch(s), along with all other buttons, switches, and connections,as mentioned above.
Are there any other DTC codes associated with the speed control module/anti lock braking system? Did they/you confirm you have the standard CC module installed and not the ACC? Did the complete a CAN network integrity test?
Here are the possible causes:
If I recall correctly, only ACC has a module. Standard CC is merely programming in the ECU.
............. right???
Yep you're right Cee Jay. Thanks for correcting me. I didn't look at mine. I Read the fault diagram I posted and assumed there was a standard module and an ACC module, but no, so it makes sense that the tech said you shouldn't see that code with a vehicle that doesn't have ACC. He's already verified CCF has standard cruise selected. If they inserted all wires then ground points would have been checked.
Bonjour Fmertz
I didn't get any chance to obtain an error code .. nothing , no communication.
I removed the radar module; little black box . when i check it , a peace inside moved There is a large part of the module which seems to have burnt down. This is why i suspec it . I think I have to break my piggy bank if I want to fix this thing
ther eis 1 spare in NL for 800$.. or i wait a better deal
Thanks so much for your input
