Default 2014 XKR - Unable to passively arm alarm

I bought a used 2014 XKR about a year ago. I noticed that the alarm had never gone off on the car, so I started looking into it. I found that the passive alarm is disabled in the infotainment. No problem. I turned it back on. It turned itself off a second later.

Right above that setting, the computer tells me that the alarm was triggered by the driver's door. Again, I didn't remember the alarm ever going off.

Is the message about the driver's door current or historical? Ie: is it telling me something that I should be using to troubleshoot, or is it telling me something from a year or more ago?

Is there something else I should be looking into, here?

Thanks!

Does the car chirp when you press the lock button twice quickly? Do the exterior lights ever flash?

Unlocking, the indicators flash twice, and it unlocks.

Locking. One press, the indicators flash once, the doors lock, and the mirrors fold in. Second press, the indicators flash once, and the horn chirps once.

Okay, I thought maybe the sounder may be bad. Guess not.
Maybe one of the door/hatch/bonnet sensors is bad, negating any input from the module.
