2015 XK wanted
Hi to all. I placed a message at marketplace searchig for an XK, but I can't find it, and I just may watch cars for sale not cars wanted.
So that is it. I'm looking for a convertible XK. But it must be at least, from 2015, because, of not, if it is older, it can not be licensed in European Union because of emisions. And, as 2015 was the last year for XK, just the ones from this year will be my option.
If any you know anyone who has one for sale, just tell me, please.

Yes, older than 2015 are not valid. Those are the stupid laws about emissions of the European Union. If I but a car inside the EU, there is no matter about the age of the car, but, if I Import it from abroad EU, it must be 2015 or younger.
There are to exceptions: First, classic cars over 30 years old. And, second, a change of residence, but I'm not US resident, and, before doing that, you must be US resident (proving it) at least, for a full year.

I've gone through the EU import regulations and specifically the rather more restrictive interpretation of them by Spain than some other EU countries but could not find anything to prevent importing a vehicle MANUFACTURED prior to 2015 unless Euro 6 emissions (effective from September 2015) is now obligatory? Some vehicles manufactured before this were compliant but the last of the X150's are Euro 5. If Euro 6 is obligatory, you simply will not get a foreign registered X150 re-registered in Spain.
The 2015 MY (Model Year) began in January 2014 with B54165. The last X150 built (B56794) came off the line on Thursday 24th July 2014 so you will not find one MANUFACTURED in 2015. You can find them REGISTERED in the USA as 2015 but that is not the same thing. The only country I know that requires Date of Manufacture to be stamped on the vehicle is Australia. It is not done for Jaguars destined for Europe or the USA. However, the Dispatch Date of a vehicle can be confirmed by any Jaguar Dealer (it's in the specification on TOPIx) and this was always very close to the day it was completed.
Another problem is CoC (Certificate of Conformity). A vehicle manufactured by Jaguar for the North American market has US conformity certification but this is not recognised in Europe. In order to import it to Spain you must obtain European CoC certification and pass ITV inspection. JLR will not help you with CoC as other members have discovered.
It would be easier if you were a non resident taking up residency and bringing the vehicle with you. The cost is about the same but the bureaucracy is much simpler. Spain appears to deliberately discourage the Spanish from importing foreign vehicles by making the process as difficult as possible and also applying VAT and large import taxes in excess of 30% related to the value of the vehicle.

I wasn't inviting a debate about political comments and have removed that sequence of posts.
We are an international forum with wide differences of language and culture. The one thing that unites us is a high regard for Jaguar cars. Whenever politics is introduced in a thread, it rapidly goes downhill. It never adds anything and often ends up with a member or members either choosing to stop participating in the forum or having that decision made for them.
Anyone who has strong political opinions or thinks derogatory racist remarks are acceptable can keep it to themselves or take it to an appropriate forum. Be in no doubt, this is not the place.

While thinking about much lower prices you also need to take import tax into account that probably is dependent on vehicle's displacement volume.
In Poland (part of EU), it's about 19% of the market car value for engines bigger than 2.0 ltr.
The cars may appear nice and cheap but in the end you pay close to full price plus the all the hassle, some risk when it comes to the actual state of the car and lower resale value in Europe.
I know I filter out US vehicles when browsing, more often than not they're welded together from two bus stops after a salvage title.
