225 MPH XFR - what did they do?
Hello everyone, I know I'm probably a day late and a dollar short, but does anyone recall exactly what was done to the XFR to make it run 225 MPH? It has the same engine as the XKR soooo I'm thinking the XKR should be able to make that speed also. According to the story, the XFR had slightly over 600hp. This was done with a remapped ECU, a modified air intake and exhaust system and revised supercharger settings. There are no details in the article though. It was done by a company named Rocketsports. (I guess not ECU tuning we often see in this forum :-) ) Anyway, I was just curious. thanks guys.
BTW, here's the link if anyone hasn't seen it:

Actually from what I researched it seems pretty easy to get those results they got in the XFR. I think the XKR could do the same with the same mods. If I was able to get 500+WHP out of my XFR from some basic bolt on for a total of $2800 I think the XKR can get to the 540WHP with ease as well and be just as fast as that XFR is.
I would love to build 1 for anyone that wants 1 since I already know how to make the power easily and kinda cost effective.
