Default 4.2 Throttle body VS 5.0 Throttle Body

I need help on upgrade. I installed 5.0 Throttle Body on 4.2 N/A and I'm wondering are the wire diagrams the same with plugs or are the wires in different patterns?

The wire colours are obviously different and at first glance the connections to the internal components appear different as well but they have just changed the layout of the schematic.

So I’m going to swap those two pins. The car would not idle for nothing. I swapped motors thinking that it would help.

It's way different on 5.0 If you need one on the later 4.2 same as 06-09 Xkr I can get you a bored out one with larger plate. ECU modification is also needed with this mod to have tb open properly. Pm me for details

I opened both throttle bodies and took motor and plug housing and swapped it. No luck. I tested with Volt meter and throttle body works.
I can’t get the car to idle.

Hmm were do I start. The car responds different. The car really moves on take off. The car has a sporty feel. I was rolling at like 40mph and hit the gas and it snaps you back in the seat. before it would move but not like now. I get more crackles and pops in sport mode. Sounds real aggressive. The standard Throttle body opening is 75mm I took 5.0 throttle body with 84mm and had it bored to 89mm. Thats a lot of air coming in now, plus I have 4" tubing and big cone air filter. The computer has been adjusting better but I need a custom tune and dyno to get the most out of it. One thing I noticed is that Trans seems not to keep up with engine.

Priv if you've got a dragway near by would be interesting to see what mph you would be trapping now with the mods, i know these roughly trap around 95/96mph

Trap speed is a indication of how much power you are making its the mph your vehicle has hit when going down the 1/4 mile if stock xk are getting around 96/97mph and you've managed to land 100mph it's a good indication your making more power now .

ET elapsed time focusses more on traction / gearing. Trap mph indicates power

Priv have you got a scanner that reads g/s at your MAF to compare , my readings were the following-
Standard 75/76mm throttle body 258g/s @7400
Maxbore 81mm throttle body 252g/s @7400

Was thinking with the increased rpm the larger throttle would add more power, but across the entire rpm range it was down.
