Default 5.0: Engine fan running after engine switched off?

Hi colleagues,
I noticed with my XK 5.0 (2010) that at the current very high temperatures and running air condition with hot engine the radiator fan runs on a low, almost inaudible stage - after turning off the hot engine, even this low ventilation stage switches off immediately. No symptoms of overheating, car is running fine.

Shouldn't a higher ventilation level continue to run for a short time after the engine is switched off? How is that with your X150, especially with the 5.0 engine? What to look at - possible fault?

Thx and greetings from Cologne!
bernd

It is eerie that when I push off that everything,, air conditioning, engine fan, radio, is immediately..well, off!
With the engine off continuing to run the fans might cool the radiator but, because there was no coolant circulation, not the engine block.

Thx all, after use in hot conditions at least at my X308 XJR the engine fans run about 1 or even 2 minutes after engine off, what brings obviously the high temperatures down under the bonnet.

It forces the hot air out of the engine bay faster than if you were to let it sit.
