Default 5.0 xkr operating temps?

Do these seem normal to you?

sitting at idle after car has been warmed up. Nyc. 32 degrees F today.

Ot=oil temp
wt=water temp
tft=transmission temp
ia=intake temp

intake temp seems high

Coolant is quite good, the AIT is high because the supercharger is compressing the air inside a hot alumin(i)um contraption spinning thousands of revolutions per minute. The intercoolers don't do a whole lot.

You were at idle and that explains the high IAT. We need to understand at idle the SC is mainly in bypass and is just stirring the air without building any boost. I see this on my XJR too. Start driving and watch the IAT drop.

Also providing a driving temp check.

37f exterior temp but operating at 118f intake temp at 40mph. Still seems a bit high?

Again if just cruising along the IAT's really don't mean much without a corresponding boost measurement. Without boost or with very little the IAT's don't come into play. Can you post the boost pressure while driving 40 mph?

You need to record the IAT's while pushing the car and recording the boost numbers. My experience with blower cars is these TVS style blowers are highly resistant to heat soak. Now I did add a bigger inter cooler and IC pump to my XJR but that was for future mods and as a practical matter you can't over cool the intake charge. I have seen very low temperatures when cold outside on my car and if you know what a "Killer Chiller" is? On those I have seen 20-40 degree reductions in IAT's.

But man does cold temperatures really wake up these cars! Mine car just loves 20F-30F which is rare for us as I live in the deep south.

yes I can take a vid.

but from my testing this engine is rarely on boost. It’s usually -11-0psi until giving it 50% throttle in which case it’s around 0-2psi. Have seen 5-6psi on full throttle 3rd gear runs.

Yes I noticed the same thing. If driven easy little to no boost. Heck even with my bigger pulley I still don't see boost pressures that others have? With Torque Pro I have caught a fleeting reading of 10-12 psi once in a while while pushing the car. Now for me it's not easy to watch the boost as the car is accelerating strongly so I need to keep my eyes on the road!
Legal speeds come and go WAY to fast!

BIGGER pulley? On the crank?? ) Or did you mean smaller pulley on the SC?

Highest I've ever seen my boost is 14.1 (if I remember right) using the recall feature in Torque Pro where it indicates the highest of any value you choose.

So far I have only done the larger crank pulley. It is easy compared to putting on a smaller upper pulley on the SC. I do like that they have Griptec on the pulley too.
Thanks about the TP tip. I sure could use that!

This is a cold start at minus 4C - They sound great but I dont drive the car hard until its warmed up and my daily commute to work is pretty short combined with the state of the roads rules out any fun whatsoever, you are happy to get to your destination - the first roundabout from my house the traction light is flashing if you touch the pedal the slightest - this is what happens when you drive on iced roads, its spun around more than once too.

March is around the corner, just need to wait...

When the road conditions are like this there's only so much tyres can do and around 600 Nm of torque will always be a deciding factor in deciding how the vehicle responds, Ice on the road is probably worse than snow, never more apparent when you drive a Supercharged Jaguar.
I had a Subaru prior to this, 3.0 Spec B with a 6 speed transmission really fantastic to drive, during snow it just was not a problem and I had summer tyres back then, but that had permanent AWD and a LSD also, the Jag can't compete with that
