Default Adaptive Cruise Control

Hi Guys:

New to the forum, having just purchased a 2012 XKR Convertible, with only 7K miles!

It is being shipped to me and should arrive early next week. To say I am excited to see her is an understatement!

The car was part of an estate sale, so I don't have much information on the car yet but I do have pictures and was wondering if there is anything on the outside of the car that would indicate to me if the car has adaptive cruise control? Sensors of any kind?

Thanks for your help.

Roger

The radar unit sits behind the front grill, so you are unlikely to see it in photos of the car. If you have a photo of the steering wheel, it will have two roller switches on both the left and right spokes.

Thanks, so much, kj07xk:

I see one roller on the right side of the steering wheel and two rollers on the left side that have symbols that appear to be for adaptive cruise control! Am I correct?

Sorry to say that you have the Non Adaptive model since the control button is missing from the right side of the wheel cluster.

Nothing we can do about it. B7t, it is kind of absurd thst a premium car like these didn’t have adaptive cruise control, standard. I have a ‘15 XKR, and does not have ACC or blind spot detection, yet my 2010 Acura has these, as weak as the Acura displays actual tire pressure and the XK doesn’t. Just a few of the quirks that are kind of endearing….

Adaptive Cruise Control is evidenced by the two rotary controls on the right side of the steering wheel. The ACC controller is on the far right.
