Adaptive headlight adjustments
2012 XKR and I am not satisfied with the height of the low beams. They seem to not project as far as I think they should. I see the adjustment L-R (lower - raise) in the headlight assembly but before I adjust them does anyone know how much a 1/4 turn will raise them . Just wanted a starting point so I don't bring them up to high. I usually start with about 1/8 turn . As funny as it was I remember on the seal beam headlights they had protrusions on the lens which I had a alignment fixture to adjust them both up and down and side to side. I guess it was to simple then LOL.

Assuming your car is garaged and the floor is level (and you park nose in), when it's dark enough back out a few feet and mark the garage wall with masking tape where the centers of the R and L low beams hit the wall. Also mark the floor so you can position the car in the same place if you need to make adjustments again. With the wall marks as your guide, make the headlight adjustments and mark the final positions on the wall. Test drive and if not to your liking adjust again until you're satisfied.
Hope this works for you.
