A $80k car only goes down in value if you sell it.
A 60 year old mail-order bride is also half price or free.

Yay! An actual technical question...

No it has an open diff, no E-Diff, no mechanical LSD.

I have the same 07 model and would be interested in knowing the result of this upgrade (cats+ x-pipe + muffler + ecu )in terms of hp and torque, especially if you have the dyno charts

N/A 4.2 I went 13.7 @101.4mph with x-pipe,ECU tune & 100cel cats . (Different tune to Alex)

Unsure what I would run now as I have the heavier seats (performance seats) but also a 4.4L range rover engine which I installed.

I find these engines do respond very very well to a few mods considering stock they run mid 14s and 96/97mph

So hey, OP... two years on, have you supercharged your car by selling it and buying an XKR? lol...

Oh, and Brutal... Jag Specialties does make LS swap kits just fine. For the non-CANBUS cars. So no X150 swap. I spoke with what's-his-name a few years ago about it and he said no way, no how, not ever, not interested. As an aside, I think it's hilarious how he expects you to basically sign an NDA because his stuff is so top secret, like the first rule of Jaguar Specialties is don't talk about Jaguar Specialties. Anyway, been saying this for a while, but you totally could swap an LS in and retain the basic electrical functionality of the car and keep it road legal if you used relay logic to run the bare minimums- windows, locks, lights, horn, wipers, HVAC. Maybe seats, too? Dunno, don't care; that's been beat to death already. Not like anyone here's actually going to do it, anyway.

badicedog, you're the OP and you posted the above on 5-24-2019. That was your last post in this thread. From your Public Profile, it appears that you're still active on this Forum.

Did you ever install that Larini exhaust and get that tune? If so, what do you think?

As for an aftermarket supercharger, except for the Kenne Bell twin-screw, it looks like ...

Don't hold your breath waiting for a reply from badicedog. I'm not. It's almost 3 years later and it appears that he's gone. See my post #48, above.

1. Mustangs have way more room around the engine than Jags do, have you looked how tight the Jag engine is in there, no room for much of anything.
2. There are literally thousand of great tuners and shops for the Mustang just here in the US,, The Jag less than a handful in the entire world.
3. Jag engineers go way out of their way to make the car as hard as humanely possible to modify or tune anything and to make everything as overcomplicated as possible.. Thier motto is its good enough , leave it alone and dont you dare work on it yourself.

My previous car was also a Mustang 2014 V6 convertible , stock it ran 13.8@101 or about same as the XK 4.2 Jag ,,
with Procharger and only 6lbs of boost it ran 12.5@115 or about same as 5.0 XKR that runs almost twice the boost in a bigger engine..
3800lb convertible with a puny 3.7 V6 that got 28-30mpg on the highway
Took me a weekend and basic tools to install it myself.
Something to be said for simplicity.

OMG. Other cars may be faster, some are better at cornering / handling (including but not limited to Porsches).
But how many real GTs are there around, and how many offer to travel in style like an XK/XKR convertible?
Still fast enough on public roads to get rid of your driver’s license or 3ven to get incarcerated… if you like that kind of behavior…

Out of curiosity......I know the 5.0 and SC share the same engine.....but is it really the same engine? A shade tree mechanic would think of bolting on a factory supercharger, ECU and call it a day.

Different pistons. The SC cars have lower static compression than the N/A engines. Put an /R blower on an N/A and you'll lunch it.
