Default Akebono front brake pads

So, following website application guides I purchased some Akebono EUR 938 pads for my 2007 XKR. Well, long story short - they are not the correct application.
In talking to the seller, they have informed me that they have TRW TPC1472 pads that are correct for my car. As I have already installed the Akebono EUR1095 pads in the rear calipers - I am reluctant to replace the fronts with something other than the Akebono's.
My question is - has anyone installed the Akebono EUR1241 pads on the front brakes of a 07-09 XKR? All the sites list them as not fitting my car. I'm confused by the contradicting information and don't really want to get to the calipers and realize they don't fit.
I have found a site that sells the front EUR1241 pads for $79 and I have a -10% new customer discount code.
Thanks in advance.

Doubtful that you have the smaller front rotors used on the XK.
I think the XK front rotors are 326mm, and the standard XKR are 355mm, and then there's the big honkin' Alcons on some XKRs.
The EUR1241's fit my 07 XK, but I don't think they'll fit your XKR.

Your front brake pads are the same size and fit for my 2010 XK. Akebonos won't work for the fronts on my car either. I have Ceramic Akebonos on the rear and Ceramic Centric Posi quiets on the fronts with great results after 2 years. You will not be able to find Akebonos for the fronts on your car. I spoke to a rep at Akebono and there are not enough applications to make it feasible or cost effective to make them for the front brakes on our cars.

I can confirm that EUR 1241 fit standard 4.2L XK's fronts & EUR 1095 Rears.
It's very strange that I had to buy from two separate suppliers! Why? Does not make sense to me..............
Have not fitted yet.

Cheers, Adrian

Thanks everybody. I went with the TRW Premium Creamic pads for the front. I will update how they perform once I get them installed.

Default Update

Just an update. I finally found the time and a good day to replace my front brake pads. The TRW TPC1472 Premium Ceramic Pads were easy to replace and perform quite nicely. They have good initial bite and very little fade while doing a standard bed-in process. So, if you have a 2007 - 2009 XKR, TRW makes some nice ceramic pads for our cars.
Thanks again everyone.
