yes, it is most definitely your battery putting out less than optimum voltage, and your symptoms are among the very many random symptoms of this issue. Unless your car is used regularly for fairly long runs the battery will not remain fully charged and at a certain point the voltage will be low enough to trigger these sorts of symptoms. Many, most, who are aware of this keep their cars on a battery minder (CTEK being the preferred brand) when not in use. Result? Zero electronic issues.

Avoid low charge battery problems and buy a CTEK MUS4.3 battery maintainer. Lots of threads here about how to install it.

The Ctek's intent is not to be a battery charger. If it still didn't get to step 7 then you need to get a battery charger hooked up . Something at 10 Amps or better untill the battery id fully charged. Once you have a fully charged battery the Ctek will keep it charged.

Update, after two days of smooth sailing the gremlin is back!
Battery is fully charged, left on ctek all night.
At 6 am the alarms started going off.
Could it be a sensor? The screen says alarm triggered
by trunk or sometimes the drivers door.
I'm thinking about taking it to the dealer. Any other suggestions
before I go to *******.

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again while expecting a different result. So, again. Check the voltage in the AM with a decent voltmeter and report back with what it actually is. Do it after a Ctek night and again without the Ctek. Curious to see if the CTEk is actually doing anything (gut feeling is nope)...

Obviously, you connected the CTEK properly, because it went to the float stage. If you used the alligator clips, although they're very strong, it's possible that vibrations while driving caused one or both to not make good contact. Did you wire it directly to the battery terminals, or to the remote battery terminals in the trunk?

Just so were're on the same page here your 2009 is a 4.2 car and not a 5.0. Correct as the Ctek hook up is different for a 5.0.
