Alarm Siren
I have managed to get this out of my 2007 XK150 without too much trouble but I am concerned about how to replace it. Is seems that new ones are no longer available which I find astonishing as it's common to many makes of car and apparently only has a life of about 8 years. Has anyone changed theirs? There are many second hand units on eBay but I can't see the point of fitting such a thing. There are new ones available for Volvo which look identical but have a different part number. Are they compatible? Any suggestions gratefully received.

The Volvo one is probably the same. The Jaguar part number is C2P26016. A thread in this forum says the Mercedes part number A072657 is identical. Several threads say the Ford Fiesta uses the same part and is available at a much lower price.
Search the web for the Ford part number 6G9N-196229-DE, you’ll find lots of hits. New ones on Amazon, replacement batteries on eBay, and tons of used ones. Also used in Aston and Mazda.
