Default Ambient air temp reads 0 degrees F - RESOLVED

My 2007 XK has logged 81K miles. I've noticed that on an intermittent basis the ambient air temperature as displayed on the screen will erroneously read 0 degrees F. The actual air temperature is greater, 50 - 60 degrees F.

The air conditioning and heating system works fine regardless.

Has anyone else noticed this; and if so did you determine the cause of this problem? Thanks!

Your answer attached Patrick. Not worth fixing imo.

Yeah, my 07 did the same thing. It happens at 58 degrees, right? Like Sean says, it is not worth trying to fix, just a niggle.

I've added RESOLVED to the thread title.

The solution is in post #2 but with "at least two hours to download" hooked up to dealer diagnostics, I don't expect too many will be rushing to apply the fix.
