Default Ambient Air Temp sensor

I noticed that the ambient air temp sensor was painted when I had my car resprayed. Is this effecting my climate control system?
I'm not getting any errors.

Thanks

Probably. Usually they're cheap from a dealer...

It is easy to check the sensor. Press the control on the temp for an outside temp reading, if it close it is good. When I couldn't get heat in mid-December I found the outside temp was reading 136 degrees with snow on the ground. Replaced the sensor and all was good. They are very inexpensive and easy to change.
