Instead of plugging a flash drive into the USB port, is it possible to run a USB cable from my Android phone to the USB port and have the car pick up the music folder(s) on the phone? I have of course tried this already, but got no results. Since my knowledge is very limited, I don't know if it's impossible or something simple I don't know. I've already read several threads about the USB port, but only found discussions about flash drives. Thx

 

Depends on the phone being happy to present its files. Try Settings etc...

 

Well, that was rather cryptic, but it did get me to dig some more and I did find the setting I needed to change.


Settings -> Wireless & Networks, More... -> Media share settings -> My shared media -> Music (check)


Maybe this will help someone else some day.
