Default Another hood vent idea

So I have a black XKR with the silver fender vent and I wanted to snazz up the hood vent. Chrome is a little too flashy for me. Looking at all the options I decided to use my magnifying goggles, some silver paint and a tiny little paint brush and have a go at the lettering. It was a crappy day and I was bored! I'm absolutely thrilled with the results. Subtle and classy and a nice match to the side vent. Get's a lot of attention and compliments. I think it's worth the trouble.

Sorry for the crummy phone pics. I'll put better ones up later.

Very rarely do I like the modifications people make.. but well done! Very subtle and not overdone, but a noticeable addition.

Love it. I have planned on doing the same treatment in red on my silver XKR. Excellent results.

flyc2c,
I like it and suggest that you continue that mod on the engine cover - it's black and has the same embossed "SUPERCHARGED" lettering. Painting those letters would compliment the hood vents. The engine cover comes off easily with only 4 screws. If you want to get fancy, you could have the engine cover hydrocoated in carbon fiber-look film with silver letters, but that will cost a lot more than your DIY paint job.

I like the vents.......very simplistic, but looks so good.

Great idea.

I like it a lot and may do it as well. I did the same thing on my engine cover.
