Default Any assistance would be appreciated

Hey Guys !
searching the forums but didn’t have much luck.
trying to find how toremove the hood louvers and mirror cap on a 14’ XKR
Hood lovuers dont seem like a difficult task but I would prefer some instructions.
Mirror caps figured you would just pop off the mirrors then Hit some release switches that are securing the caps to the mirrors?
But again if anybody could give me some better instructions it’d be much appreciated.
thanks

The mirror caps are easily removed if you just squeeze the bottom portion of the cap to release the small tabs, and then pull away -no need to fiddle with the mirror unit itself. New covers (or the old covers) just snap on in a reverse of this procedure.
The hood louvres should have similar tabs visible if you remove the sound pad from the underside of the hood/bonnet.

As an FYI, there is no sound pad covering the hood louvers, they wouldn't vent very well if they were covered. :-) Once you open the hood they are completely exposed including the retainer clips to remove them. Just keep an eye out on the inboard side of each one, they have 2 metal clips over the plastic retainers that must be carefully removed before attempting to release the plastic retainers.

Cheers,

Dave
