Hey Peeps,
Wondering if anyone out there installed a Parrot Bluetooth Hands-Free Kit in their Jag XK? I'm looking for an alternative to the ACM Ipod adapter, one that has a display to see which audio content is playing. I had one of these installed in my SC430 & it worked AWESOME but I just dont know if its going to be a hassle to install one in the XK.
From all the goggle searches ive done it seem there may be a harness adapter for the XK but I just dont know if its a match or not & I only find it on UK websites BTW. Non here in the states.
Ive sent an inquire to the UK website which sells this BT unit/harness
but have yet to receive a response.
I'm thinking maybe 1 of our UK Jag XK driver may have attempted installing the parrot BT unit be4 & could lend some words of advice on the issue.
Let me know if anyone has installed this (or anything similar) and what was the process for it. Would love to get this done as soon as i receive my Jag next week...

Im afraid I dont know much about the system in the XK, but I have an MKi9200 in my S-Type with touch screen nav and it works great.

Does the XK use the same system as the S-Type?

 

^^^not too sure, Ive yet to take possession of it yet, BUt the seller had told me that it came with the premium Alpine 550w system. does that help any? I'm hoping one of our UK members will chime in & just maybe be willing to do me a favor of calling the UK number of that site i found; in order to see if this system/harness would be an exact match. I dont want to display the # or website in fear of stepping on any toes the forums site might have, if u catch my drift. look forward to any future responses.

BTW: it is a touch screen aswell.
