Update :
So I ordered and replaced the rears with the available Acabuno brakes, left r1 rotors as is, result was that braking was improved some, I'd say 15-20%. After that I went ahead and got new Brembo ceramics for the front
, Results is additional improved over the pads I had. Would say brakes now feel pretty good with much better bite, not as good as my old E55 Amg with disk Italia and Acabuno, not even close really but pretty good overall where I can live with it.

I replaced all of my pads in the last couple of weeks. I used EBC Redstuff pads. So far they have been a huge improvement over whatever was on the car before. The dust is minimal, and they aren't as grabby in traffic. I was hoping for something a little smoother. With the old pads it was impossible to come to a smooth stop. The Redstuff pads grab right at the end, which makes smooth stops difficult, but not nearly as bad as the old ones.

I also replaced all my pads with Akebono Ceramic last year and have been happy with them. Performs great and I haven't had to clean my rims in months. I couldn't go a week without dirty rims prior.

My only regret is that I didn't do it the minute I got the car home.

Update : so I was planning to replace my front r1 concepts rotors, slight shaking is still there at hard braking. I decided to call r1 concept one more time see if there's anything they would like to do about it Even though my warranty expired almost a year ago. They sent me another set free! so we'll be giving them another try hopefully they last better than the first set
