Default Anyone Know the Oil Pressure PID datastream?

So, been looking for an oil pressure data source on OBDII, including digging on this site and Google.. Neither Autel AP200 with the JLR software, nor other OBD apps seem to have it for Jag, that I can tell. Wikipedia says the OBD protocol doesn't seem to have it, BUT I've come across data for a couple of cars (Chrysler, Dodge and a couple of others) that claim to have access to this datapoint under OBDII. I suspect its a proprietary PID for JLR, because there's an oil pressure sensor next to the filter on my 4.2.

So, not standard, but a lot of folks would like to have it.

1. Anyone found an OBD scanner that has Oil Pressure as a captured data stream?
2. Anyone know what the PID might be on Jag?

I found a doc from Old Jaguar with data to add a number of PID streams to Torque Pro, but even it doesn't have Oil Pressure: www.oldjaguar.com.

Any ideas? Thanks!

There's no oil pressure pid.
On the oil fiter it's not a sensor, its just a switch for low oil pressure.

I have been wondering if the 4.2l has a taped 1/4'' access to the oil channel in the V8. The i could put in a mechanical oil pressure gauge. Possibly in the glovebox. Anybody with their ?

Saw a home built extension, made of a pipe with a T connection in it. One end of the top of the T into the oil port, the original switch at the other, and in the middle a new transducer with a spade attachment.

Not at all pretty, since the builder used gas fittings. BUT...if a BT transmitter was attached to the transducer in line with the transducer wire, it could act like a dongle to a gauge on a phone. Or integrated into a small pressure sensor-fitted attachment that had a BT in it and multiple screw adapters in the kit....

The tech is out there: https://www.hydracheck.com/catalog/p...-psi-7-16-sae/ Though you sure don't need something that's good to 10,000 psi.

More digging: https://www.banggood.com/buy/bluetoo...re-sensor.html.

Wonder what people would pay for this to have a virtual oil pressure gauge in any car? Hmmmm...
