Hey Mark,

There’s no link I’m afraid. I did find a video of it on you tube:

The video was uploaded by Mark Watson of Oxford Car Audio (I think I said Cambridge so sorry about that)

You can get them on 01865 769 911.

The price is what I got as an estimate when I spoke to Mark on the phone - He was very helpful.

Hope this helps.

Although it can be done, it's a difficult DIY project suitable only for those who have sufficient technical knowledge and physical abilities. I currently have neither, but have started my quest for the Impossible Dream by reading this thread and exercising. I found this exercise routine to be inspirational and fitting.

Aaah as suspected it's an older 4.2, S has been stated it can be done with that series but less easy with the later 5.0 that I have.

I'll give them a call tomz to check if my suspicion is confirmed and will post the outcome.

Great - mine is a 5.0 also and there seem to be no problem - the only thing was the reversing camera, as it uses the connection for that, but since I dont have one on my model there was no issue but more cost because an extra component was required.

Look forward to what the outcome is from your call

I have almost the same thing with an Android TV box hooked up through a GVIF. Same idea, different parts. Sean showed me the way.

Feels like that rotary control would be awkward to use and having to have arm rest slide back wouldn't be ideal. Get them to install the control in the ash tray, bit like my DIY version.

Bugger, if I'm going to loose my reversing camera I'll not bother

Stuart yours being a 4.2L any Jaguar dealer can turn on the AUX input. And any competent car audio shop would be able to install this kit in your car.

You wouldn’t loose it buddy, it just means one of the components needed is already present (less cost) so happy days... mine doesn’t have the reversing camera 😢

I didn’t know about Cartronics - thanks Cambo!

Cambo, I can get the AUX input turned on and I can install the kit myself. How can I get one and what is the cost?

That looks really impressive! Is that the OEM jag screen?

It looks so much sharper than I was expecting!

I think they need to do a recall and install this on every XK and XKR there is on every 2012+up.Why?Well how about they upgraded the infotainment system in the 2012 XF models+up and left the Jaguar XK's with that SAME crappy outdated infotainment screen from 2007 and don't even have the aux cord feature available that most 2007s came standard with

Yes it's the OEM screen, but it's a 2012 and those screens have a better image quality than the earlier cars up to 2008.
