Hi Guys

Sorry I am new here, and we have a 2007, 4,2XKR, and I am looking to install one of these unit, I have ordered one on Aliexpress just to find out today, from the supplier it will not work, even when they advertised it for a Jaguar XKR 2006 to 2014 models. Any idee where I can order one, as I am in South Africa, I will get a proper radio installer to do the work for me.

Regards
Pepe

You can get them on 01865 769 911.

The price is what I got as an estimate when I spoke to Mark on the phone - He was very helpful.

Hope this helps.
I have same car as in video. I am in canada can you give me details and quote.

I have been trying to add Car Play and a Reversing Camera to my 2008 XKR Convertible but despite leaving the car with audio experts for a week I am back to square one.

Can I ask if anyone has successfully added these to the 2008 model using the OEM screen? It has the USB in the storage box. My mechanic tells me Mr 12v might work but the installation is “challenging”

I am not really that bothered about Car Play but I do want the reversing camera. I understand you can’t have one without the other.

Any help much appreciated.

thanks

Many threads on this around here.

I even made a 9 part video series of the install which lives on YouTube when I put Mr12V in my 2008 XKR.
Would have taken me maybe 2-3 hours if I wasn’t recording it.

For the 08, you will need a newer screen flashed with 08 software and then enable AUX input.

Since you are across the pond, you can reach @liambiggs as he does these all the time.
Best to reach him on facebook.

Thanks for your reply. I have spoken to Liam and he doesn’t have anyone in the UK who can install the camera.

You don’t need CarPlay or Mr12Volt to get a backup camera displayed on the Infotainment screen. You can do it with a GVIF module that plugs in between the Navigation unit and the head unit (install it in the trunk/boot). Sure, it’s not seamless like OEM in later models (you need to be on the Nav screen to see the camera display), but it works.
There’s probably a couple threads here describing it.
