Thumbs up on the R badge. I noticed that the other day on the 2012 and thought to myself if I ever get a 2007+ model I would add that badge to the grill. Go for it!

Default I got one today...

How did you secure it? Just with the adhesive backing?

BTW, I like it. I put mine on yesterday just using the adhesive backing. Seems to be holding pretty firmly.

I just used the double sided backing that is already on the emblem. It's the same emblem that on the rear. Just remember to clean the area you are about to install it.......alittle rubbing alchohol or even Dawn to clean the surface (take off the dirt and any wax buildup) and make sure to wipe it right off with a dry cloth or microfiber towel. I would make sure you know exactly were you want to install it because the more times you put it on and take it off....the less afftective the adhesive backing will become.

Thanks guys....I think I'll keep it on for now. I've noticed a 5HP bump after I installed the R badge. As you know...the more stickers you have the more power....LOL. Now I'm trying to find some Greddy and Type R stickers. Just Kidding!

Ghostrider,
I'm curious where you purchased the emblem---from dealer? I was thinking about that emblem for my 06 xkr but not sure it would look good on my model.

Yes...at the dealer. I have the receipt in front of me...the R Badge (part C2P14325): $12.70. The Leaper (part no. C2Z11308): $87.14.

Not sure if your R badge is the same so you might want to double check. I know the 2012 R badge is alittle different than the 2007-2011....it now has a lighter green on the stripe.....I think the overall look and shape is the same though.

Do you have the plastic front grille or metal mesh front grille?

So it seems you went for the old style R badge? I've just picked up the front new style 2012 badge kit here in the UK from my Jaguar dealer. It comes with a backing plinth and all screws etc required to secure it to the grill...Total cost was £56. The rear badge was £12 but you can get the older style ones for £5. The new badge has a lighter green and the red and green stripes have swapped sides. Here is one on ebay UK:

I've asked on a few other posts before - would you mind disclosing what your alloy wheels are as I love them! Hoping i can get them imported to the UK. Send me a PM if you prefer. Thanks

Default Additional hp increase.

I've noticed a 5HP bump after I installed the R badge.
I'm thinking of adding about 20 of them to my XKR to bring it up to the 500hp range. Gaudin Jag has them for $7.57 each. That's only $1.51 per additional hp.

Next time I do order Jaguar parts, I will definitely add 1 or 2...probably to stick on my wife's Hyundai Elantra for kicks. I'm surprised how cheap those "R's" are.

First time I saw someone mention Gaudin - is that the one in Vegas? I went on line, joined their site with all the details and stuff, then sent a long note with VIN and everything asking for a simple bezel for the door handle key area - sent several follow up requests over several days no reply and as it was my first experience with them am not inclined to try again - would apreciate your thoughts/experience.

I think you're right. In fact, I think they're the Rennen M9.
