I have used my iPhone for audio/phone, via armrest plug, for well over a year with no issues. Suddenly, it seems I can only hear one channel(ie no stereo) when selecting "portable device". Radio and CD play normal, it's only the iPhone/portable device that is having the issue. Again, been doing this fine for a long time and without warning something has changed. I have reviewed all options and settings on the car and the phone itself with no success. Any suggestions?

 

Did you check to make sure that the cable is firmly plugged into the jack in the car and the phone? If either are loose it could produce the same results. Shouldn't this be covered under warranty if it's a loose cable/wire?

 

Yes...repeatedly checked the connections on both phone and car. Wondering if it could be a bad cable, about 18 months old...but thought others may have other solutions...Thanks!

 

Can you tell me what kind of cable you used for the iPhone 5? To the Jaguar system?

 

Were you able to figure out the issue? I'm having the same trouble with only my Ipod connection. Radio and XM work fine. Let me know when you can. Regards,
