Arrow Auto smells burnt at high speed

I have been the lucky owner of my beautiful Jaguar xk for over 2 years
He is from 2006 and has walked about 160,000 km.

Now I have some (problems) when I give a little bit of gas or hard. above 180 km per hour, that the car a little inside to smell the engine. I can hardly describe what it smells after. Burned oil for example. What could it be, because it seems to get worse.

Could someone help me about this.

Check for oil leaks or seepage around the cam covers as it can get onto the exhaust manifold.

Had a similar issue, could smell it, then last winter it actually leaked oil onto the floor.
Turned out that one of the bolts holding a valve cover was loose (almost falling out).
Some previous service to the car had failed to tighten all the bolts (this one was out of sight and hard to get to).

Thanks for your comment. Do you know where the cam covers are?

Hope it is. I'll look at that. how can it eventually leak in you? is it going to run along the engine block?

Perhaps you should take the car to a Jaguar agency or specialist shop for diagnosis.

Here's a link to the thread on my issue.
https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...l-leak-199975/

I think I had the big leak, which made the existing small leak evident, because I started the car in the winter without allowing the car to warm up.
It ran long enough to pump oil up to the top of the engine, then I shut it off. Since the engine didn't heat up enough for things to expand and seal the gap, the oil leaked out where the valve cover wasn't tightened down.

Please double check the coolant level.

I am going to bring the car to the mechanic. I just found out that the battery is empty all the time. everytime I am taking the car. the battery is dead. I think it has a connection with the smell of the car. don't you think?

No, separate issues and separate smells.

I think it helps to have a set of ramps for such things, then you can usually identify oil/transmission/collant leaks quickly.

Can I ask at 160k kms how many times your transmission has been serviced? I think Jag states 'sealed for life' but ZF says every 80k kms, so your car should have had two.

When one doesn't know where the cam covers are you do not recommend driving on ramps...

Baby steps my friend.

Driving up on ramps is IM(not so H)O the same as driving up a steep slope?

You don't NEED to know where anything is to check that anything is/isn't leaking

My friend
