Default B0001 Intermittent Airbag code

Comes up on the OBD device as “Driver Frontal Stage 1 Deployment Control.” Anyone familiar with the code and/or a solution? Thanks!

X150 uses extended 7 character DTC's. Code B0001 has 5 extensions which help differentiate between a power, ground, high resistance, low resistance or module fault.

You will need SDD or equivalent to read these codes.

I haven't had airbag issues on either of my XK's but did have an RCM failure on my 2005 XK8. You need to be EXTREMELY CAREFUL disconnecting/reconnecting harness connectors or the RCM and when test probing. Battery disconnected and time given for the backup capacitors to discharge.

Thank you Graham. I doubt I would try to work on this issue given airbag involvement. Attached is a readout of the full code.

The relevant Pinpoint Tests aren't in the Workshop Manual so the procedure must be exclusively in Jaguar SDD. From the extended code, it may be nothing more serious than a faulty Front Impact Sensor or its harness connector. Schematic from the Electrical Guide attached.

Sorry to resurect an old thread, but I am getting the 44 code. Ken Rose, if you're still active, I wonder if you could point me in the right direction as to where exactly the passenger impact sensor is located and what you did to fix yours.
