Default srs airbag flash code 52 on 1999 xkr

I have been able to eradicate an airbag flashcode 12 on my 1999 xkr by replacing the ecu with a secondhand unit. However it now flashes code 52. The only code data I have relates to post 2003 cars and on that code 52 refers to passenger seat buckle. However that is not wired up on the older cars like mine. Can anyone advise what code 52 means on a 1999 car

Flash code 52 has a secondary definition:

Air Bag Warning Indicator - open circuit

You'll need Electrical Guide Fig 17.1 for the main SRS circuit and 08.1 for the Instrument Pack to trace for harness faults on the warning lamp.

Be very careful tracing airbag igniter circuits. A DVM on resistance range SHOULDN'T put enough current into the igniter to fire it but older mulitimeters like an AVO can.
Never test with your body anywhere near any of the airbags.

I have the same problem after a battery completely discharged and tensioner replacement.
Do you know if the airbag mil switch off when the problem solved.

I have read that the problem can be a lower voltage of depoiement power. But where to control this voltage before the safing sensor ?

Is anyone can help me?

PS: excuse me for my bad english. I'm french.

The Air bag Warning light goes off when the fault causing it to display is fixed. It's doesn't need to be reset with a scantool.

OK, I thought you might be referring to a seat belt pre-tensioner which is part of the SRS system.
Have you still got the 52 flash code?

Yes, the flash code 52 is still on.

I had ta battery completely discharged just before secondary tensioner replacement because the engine switch stayed on.

after the work, when I switch on the engine, le srs mil light the flash code 52 (2 or 3x) then switch on continuously.

Check the passenger seat buckle connector and make sure it is clean, this will involve removing the seat, an hours job. While you are under there, check the wiring loom for any possible short circuits or pinched wiring.
Also do a hard reset in case your battery charger has upset the electronics.
