Battery not charging warning, gearbox error
Got a blink of battery not charging warning that quickly disappeared then the gearbox fault followed.I Read a bunch of posts and am thinking slipping serp belt,
Oddly I just serviced the transmission (of course) but think that error seems to come on with battery and charging system problems
i think I will take a look at the transmission fill level anyway. I looked at the belt, does not look glassy or cracked but I had thought I smelled a rubber burning smell over the weekend. I will check for noises up front too.
Anyone else change out the serp belt and pulleys? Any DIY ?

Did you upgrade your XF to an XK? You MAY be in the wrong forum.
Anyway, I'd figure that the Not Charging caused a low battery condition which caused an erroneous Gearbox fault.
