had a message,trans.fault,came up with po783,anyone any info on this ,have cleared the code and driven it 20 miles and message not come back,someone told me the battery is a budget one and I have been losing mem. for seats and steering column

 

Dying batteries are indeed the primary cause for most spurious warning messages and OBDII codes that these cars throw. What is the date stamp on yours?

 

there is no date that I can see but a friend of mine said it was a budget one and I cant find anything in the paperwork to say they had bought a new battery
