I purchased this tender along with the harness. It is said that they are made by CTEK for Jaguar. I have a 5 month old AGM and have my 2011 XK stored in the garage here at home in Wisconsin. It gets very cold here and just want to make sure all is good with the battery.
I also read that you can not tend to your battery via the CIG lighter outlet but perhaps the outlet in the glove box?...
You can't use those outlets for your CTEK because they're switched, which means that they're off when the ignition switch is off. That helps keep the battery from discharging after Convenience Mode has shut off.
Read your CTEK manual and plug it into a wall outlet.
Your Jaguar-branded CTEK battery maintainer is identical to the CTEK 3300 except for the Jaguar logo. It's an early model that hasn't been available for years. It will probably work for your AGM battery, but I doubt that it has an AGM-specific mode. The Snowflake winter mode will probably work, but you may want to call CTEK if the manual is silent. And as a matter of interest, every luxury car manufacturer, every single one - including the exotics, sells a CTEK unit but with its own brand identification, and they all sell these for the same reason. The modules in modern multi-module cars need full battery voltage at all times; if they don’t get it, random issues crop up.

Not disagreeing with how to use a ctek, but for the sake of clarity, the front cigar light is fed directly from the battery via Fuse F09. Always on, at least on my 07.

Are you sure about that? Looks like F16 through the ignition relay:
@Sean W I believe that you're mistaken. Even if the electrical sockets in your 2007 XK aren't switched, you shouldn't use them to power your battery maintainer. See your Owner's Handbook. This is from the 2009 Handbook:

Thx Stuart. Interesting. So some models may be ignition on as your manual suggests. Mine isn't. The 07 is direct. In any event, I don't think using the lighter port is the way to go with a maintainer :
@Sean W Convenience Mode actives when you open the car door, which turns on the cigar lighter and glove box socket. That may be why you believe those sockets are always on. They're not activated by turning on the ignition switch (pressing the start button without stepping on the brake pedal).
It has been working fine, but it has one confusing feature which is agm recondition mode, which from my research you * should not use* -

The only thing I don't like about it, is the lack of an "off" mode... so once you plug it in, it seems like you can't turn it off.
