Best way to remove hose clips
I have a big tool set, but nothing that is auto specific. I'm looking for the safest way to remove and reinstall some coolant clips.
I've copied pictures from other threads with pictures of the two types of clips. The first type is the clip at the right edge of the picture frame and it looks pretty straightforward (although I suspect that the clips are very stiff). The other is in the centre of the second image and has 3 (or is it 4) ridges on it. This looks pretty odd to me.
How do I get each of these off and on safely? Is there a cheap tool that I should be buying from my local auto parts store?
Thanks in advance!

The pliers in the previous link will work for the first, I have used long nosed vice grips.

Go to Harbor Freight or Northern Tool. If they have it, and they probably do, it will be cheep crap but well worth the money for the non professional. If you want good stuff go to Sears. They have a selection of hose clamp tools. I even saw 1 that was specifically made for hard to access locations.

Ended up going to PartSource (in Canada). Got a $17 tool. It worked ok for my purposes, but you really do get what you pay for. The locking mechanism literally broke the first time I used it -- the corner bit on the lever that catches the ratchet just grinded away under pressure. Didn't really slow me down, thankfully.
