Default Big guy in XKR?

Hello, I am looking to purchase.a 2010-2013 XKR. These don't grow on trees, so nothing close.to try one on. I am 6 foot and 300 lbs. I have seen threads regarding tall people, but I assume Jag made these cars for middle age people. I will have to purchase car and have shipped. Any word from any of you Big guys would be most appreciated!

A lot of us in the forum have had cars shipped, quite often sight-unseen. Mine came from Texas and 1200 miles from me.
300 pounds at six feet will not have a problem fitting an XKR at all. Good thing you don't want a previous generation XK8 as those are smallish inside.

I have had my 2010XKR for almost 7 years. When I first got it and I was about 60 years old, I was 6'-2" and about 240-250 lbs, and I found the XKR very comfortable. Seven years later, I've shrunk about 2.5" and am about 185lbs (I have no idea at what's causing weight loss), and I still find the XKR very comfortable. But, there is nothing like sitting in one and driving it to really understand how you fit. It might be worth a trip to see and try one on in person.

Tapeworm? Regardless, 185 is much easier than 250. I got up to 240 once and didn't like it. Now I'm around 175 and holding.
Yeah, I used to be 6-2, but only shrank about an inch so far. My time will come, I'm sure.

6'3" 200lbs here and no problems... as long as there's enough room to open the door. It is a bit tight in my garage!

Same here. Car was in Oregon, shipped to Illinois, through a snow storm in an enclosed carrier. Got lots of pictures from the dealer before closing the deal.

airborne cat, you'll be fine. I'm your height, a little less weight, and have owned 12 Jaguars over time. When considering a new one, some years back, I was fortunate enough to be able to drive other competitive considerations, Ferrari and Lotus were two. Quite noticeable to me was the much better legroom in the Jaguar. Back then the Ferrari and Lotus were very cramped. Plus, the steering wheel can be adjusted in /out, and titled up / down to your choice. One concession I learned over time is that since it is relatively low, I am most comfortable sitting down first, then swinging my legs in -- protecting the family jewels. And the larger door of the two-door can be accommodated in my garage by reversing into the designated parking space.
Now that you'll fit, learn how much joy you'll have in driving, owning and just looking at your Jaguar.

Interested in the outcome, if it turns into a cramped Tommy Boy airplane bathroom scene please video the experience and share!

Ha, one of the greatest movies of all time, or in my opinion.

For the OP, can't say how comfortable it is for bigger folks but it seems like the feedback in the past says you should be fine. A buddy of mine is 6' 4" and around 260, he isn't fond of being in my car as he is very used to SUV's like his Lincoln Navigator. Whether or not you fit well seems to be subjective at best, what is comfortable for one person is not for another. Would really advise trying it out somewhere, you can sit in an XK, should fit about the same.

Here's a useful multi-purpose accessory that can be used on the car, the driver, and the passenger. No batteries required.

A couple thoughts for the OP. Me 6'3" 188lbs. Weight not an issue but I'm long legged, my seat is fully lowered and slightly reclined. Getting out, I put one foot on the ground then swing the other out and use both feet to exit. Point is the ride is low and my knees aren't what they used to be.

I have a friend who's been in the Jag and he's heavy but shorter than you. He does in fact struggle to get in and out and usually wants to take his Murano. He loves the XK but I can see he's not comfortable. I'd say he's 5'10 and about 250lbs.

So bottom line, your knees, mobility also play a role, not just height and weight.

I wonder if the guys on the forum that have been in other makes that might be similar but greater availability in his locale that he could test "sit"? I know the X100 doesn't compare, but something else?

I'm about 6-2 and 170 pounds, and I lean out a bit and use my left hand on the door sill with a straight arm and then left foot on ground, and cross the right foot over left and I'm out. The left arm is a nice support for old me.
