In My 2007 XK....
When i depress my brake pedal, my rt rear brake light blinks. I do have a "Brake Light Failure" message on the panel... Anybody?

 

You really should add "2007 XK" in your Signature so people don't have to search for what vehicle you're talking about.

HUGE difference in tail lights between your year and later years.

Have you tried changing the lamp inside that housing yet?

 

no i haven't tried that yet, because when i tap on the outside of the light, it either stops blinking or blinks slower, or shuts off completely, or works fine. i also figured if there was something wrong with the lamp, it would be out completely.

 

Sounds like it's time to change the bulb. I would change all of them as getting the lamp assembly out is not a lot like fun.

 

Yeah, when you BANG on it, the loose filament within the bulb itself bounces around and periodically makes a connection. -equals- bad bulb
