Has anyone upgraded his xk/xkr brakes - steel hose/disk/caliper? any one consider BB Kit, or different pads?

You should be able to upgrade your car to the Alcon calipers & rotors from a newer XKR. It would be a bolt on upgrade. I have seen the calipers on Ebay UK for short money.

The alcon front discs are 400mm dia - you'd need to make sure your rims have enough clearance for the calipers.

The Alcons should clear any 20" Jaguar wheel. I have them on Perseus wheels & 410mm discs.

Doing nothing but modifying XKs for a living you get to know a few people and the last 2 sets I have bought came from the same guy, but you can buy these from Jaguar.

I fitted these to my XK track car

But by far the cheapest way is to stick with the Jaguar rotors, @ 400mm and 36mm thick costing something like $180 a corner is very cheap, the rotors in my pic just for the 2 front cost me over a $1000

I'm sorry to say that in Bulgaria the dealer is not that helpful ...... it seams that they are making me a favor when I'm trying no spend my hard earned cash.... Nevertheless the price they give me is phenomenal..... we are looking at almost 2000 EURO for the calipers.... and I didn't have the nerve to ask for the disks..... so any supply help will be welcomed...

My bad I've only had my jag for the past year or so, and I'd admit it is very difficult if not possible to get parts for the X351

You're in the UK, so ask Alcon. They might have a conversion kit for your XJ.
