Does anybody know what other jaguar( or others) that are compatable with Mk2 brakes, front or rears.thanks

I changed my front calipers for examples from the slightly later S type. Since I never drove the V8 with the old calipers - I cant comment on the relative advantage.

 

A very popular and common upgrade is the 4 piston Wilwood upgrade that XK's Unlimited and other Jaguar sites sell. I would recommend that as that comes with all of the proven adapters, calipers, pads, new vented rotors, braided lines, etc. The front of any car is where most braking is done and with the front brake upgrade you will be very pleased with the performance. Wilwood is a very well known popular performance brake company.

 

Thank you both for your comments. Most aftermarket calipers are very expensive, whereas the slightly younger jaguar version calipers can be purchased cheaply, mainly second hand, and can be refurbished easily and for modest amounts. For example xj6 rear fits mk2 , just bolt on.
Does anybody know what other calipers fit the front of a 420??
