Default Breathing new life into a XKR 2008 Convertible (Upgrades)

Hi all,

Still loving my XKR-2008 Convertible (Portfolio) - but would love to breathe some new life into it with some mods.

What comes to mind is:
1. Exhaust
2. Body Style
3. Front console
4. Any others?

Trawling through the many posts here it seems that there is a
1. Mina vs. Fuse 19 debate (I pulled mine...from inside the car It doesn't sound very maserati like!).
2. Body Style - Not a clue.
3. Front Console - Not a clue.

Any thoughts? I'm in CT, USA.

Many of my customers say my remote Smartkey / One-Touch interior button control of the top, with rear window control is one of their favorite mods.

See my website below for a video of it in action.

Have fun with your upgrades!

Skavan,

+1 on the remote top. See my signature for other ideas, including the compact spare since your Portfolio has Alcon brakes and, therefore, no spare. Also consider converting the tail lights to the 2010-up LED design and adding "ghost logo" puddle lights. Search this forum for more details. Let us know what you decide to do.

Cool looking brakes; Alcon or another brand would be nice touch. XKR-S pieces is a welcome addition. Throw in some brake ducts.

Be careful the exhaust choice. Some are better engineered than other; and you guessed it - are the more expensive ones.

Are there any undertray covers available or anything to manage under car air flow?

Alcon brakes were included as part of the optional Portfolio package for 2008, which is what the OP has. For 2009, Alcons were a separate option, in addition to the Portfolio package. They were not available on the 5.0L models.

Just fyi.
