Anyone used it ? I just want to see what's going on, nothing wrong at the moment. I have an LR/Jaguar scanner for pre 2005 Jags, but doesn't play nice at all with my 2012 XKR hence the BD V130 option.

Someone will weigh in on the version. Not sure when V130 was released. Here's a list of approved Jaguar Dongles. Guessing V130 is fine for your year as the attachment was released with version 125 in 2011. I think a couple guys have the DA dongle and like it fine if you don't have the OEM VCM.

 

I have SDD v1.30 on a Panasonic Toughbook which is gradually gathering dust in a corner. Worked perfectly on my 2007 XK but wouldn't maintain a connection on my 2014 XK. Went to v1.50 (and more recently v1.59) everything works.

Not exactly the same as you are considering (I use Mongoose Pro) but note the British Diagnostics v130 is shown as suitable for 1998 - 08/2012. Your 2012 could fall outside this compatability range.

 

The last patch for v130 was released in August 2012 so I presume that is why they say that.

I have both v131 and v148 on my diagnostic laptop and v148 is so much quicker at collecting the diagnostic data so I would look for the latest version possible.
