A beautiful car for sure and just a hoot to drive. I do not have the newer model that you are searching for but have had my 2001 since new and love it.

I am sure you will find a nice one owner that will work out well. Check out the carfax to make sure their has not been any accidents and that warranty service has been performed.

After the warranty expires some of us choose to find other choices for service other than the dealers, due to the high cost of dealer service.
Around my area its about $1200 just to talk to the dealer. My wife and I just laugh and know we will be writing big checks if we are required to use the dealers service for our 2001 XK8.

Good luck in your search!

Actually, there's a whole nuther forum for that. One of the mods will probably move this thread over there shortly. You'll get much better advice from those guys. The body styles changed in 2007 and the newer cars are completely different than the pre-2007 cars. The engines are very similar, but everything else is completely different.

By the way... I'll marry you if you'll buy me a 2007 XK. I'll clean, do dishes, laundry... just about anything you want. And I won't mind if you screw around on me. In fact I would encourage it.

In 2007 the body style changed completely, but the main change was the body shell was now made of aluminium like the big saloons (the X350 like I have).

I mentioned to the missus that maybe I should get one when I retire in July. No prized for guessing the answer !

We just bought a 2007 XK Convertible with 16,600 miles on it. Paid $38,500. It did need a little work, some paint damage on the hood, added the iPod adapter ($455), got two used headlights off of ebay for $200 each complete (the original ones were fade and cracked on the inside). The biggest problem that we missed was the dash leather was 'lifted'. No one can fix it so I'm going to try and restore it with Leatherique and see if we can't soften it up enough to get it glued back down. Otherwise it's a beautiful car. Most research on it seemed to be pretty solid. Looking forward to owning it for years to come.
