Cabin Blower Not Working 2007 XK
Went to put on windshield defroster last night. Nothing. As I turned the blower knob the lights worked but no air flow, no noise, nada. Checked fuse. It's ok. I read threads that it could be the blower motor or a relay. Is the relay the same thing as the "Control module." Anyway, I have an appointment with the dealer for Monday. Any idea of what I am looking at cost wise. Thanks

Early XKs had a design flaw where the AC drain tube plugged and allowed water to back up and onto the blower control module. A TSB was released to fix the problem by replacing the tube via removing the dash (KaChing $$$$).
Hope this isn't your case, but be prepared!

Had the same happen to mine when I bought it. Didn't realize right away because it was top down weather and didn't pay attention.
Dealer replaced blower motor before I bought it but the module had also gone bad. And yes it is the control module next to the blower motor.
Dealer gave me the receipts as it would have been under warranty if it was the motor.
Pricing they paid to replace the blower motor.
$318.71 for the motor and $140.00 labor
Split the cost of the module with me after I brought it to their attention it still wasn't working
$232.78 for the module and $105.00 labor.
Could have done it easily myself but let the indy that did the motor take care of it. Motor and module are just under the glove box area in the passenger foot well. If you pull the cover under the glove box you can see both the motor and the module.
The issue that clever is talking about is the AC drain duck bill can get clogged or is overwhelmed and water backs up and takes out either one or the other.
To fix the duck bill I've seen posts where they have to pull the dash to replace so yep big $$$ for a small fix. If you do a forum search you can get better informed.
Hope this helps

Here is a jobber price sheet from about 2010... I use it all the time at the parts counter to get them to stop the horrendous markup... (They usually appologize and give me a great big discount to get it much closer than suggested retail.)
Your control module should cost you about $110....
