Can a xkr throttle body be cleaned

Can a 2007 xkr throttle body be cleaned like that on the old xk8/R. I used to clean mine often as is sometimes had black gunk on it.

There was a thread on this recently, apparently the throttle bodies on these cars have some special coating on them which normal cleaning will strip away, so you shouldn't clean it.

Agree - have heard the same comments made regarding doing more harm than good by cleaning the throttle body on a X150.
