My 2008 XK Coupe is red, but the question is, Carnival or Radiance?
I see sites with one color or the other for 2008 MY but I don’t see both!
Are they the same?

I'm pretty sure that Carnival Red was not available on the X150 models. There were two shades of red for 2008, Radiance and Salsa.

Please post a link to the site that shows a 2008 XK in Carnival Red. I know that Carnival Red was an available color on the previous X100 model, but I've never seen it on an X150.

I believe that chart is not specific to the 2008 MY X150 sold in North America, as it does not include Celestial Black. That color was unique to the 2008 XKR Portfolio models.

I thought it was Radiance and Salsa, then came IRR towards the end.

 

Go to any plate and paint shop in your area and have them run a spectrometer to find out the exact code.

 

I believe that you are correct. The OP asked about his 2008, and Italian Racing Red was introduced in 2012. Claret was another shade of red introduced with the 5.0L models.

 

I am pretty sure that the 2008 colour was Radiance Red (gorgeous on the XK).

 

The OP wants to know if the red color of his 2008 XK is called Carnival Red or Radiance Red. Since Carnival Red was not an available color for 2008, his car must be Radiance Red.

I wouldn't disagree on that. I was responding to the OP's question about Carnival Red and Radiance Red "Are they the same?" to which the answer is NO.

The OP asked two questions; I answered the first and you answered the second.

The OP muddied the water when he said "I see sites with one color or the other for 2008 MY but I don’t see both!" I then asked him in my Post #5 to "Please post a link to the site that shows a 2008 XK in Carnival Red.", but he has not responded.

In retrospect, I never should written my Post #5. All that did was needlessly drag this thread on. This thread should have ended with JagRag's Post #2. I wrote my Post #11 out of frustration that it didn't, and it was my fault. My apologies to all.

Thanks guys. When I looked up the colours for 2008, I didn’t specify 2008 “XK” I just searched Jaguar.
