Default Cats fault plus - RESOLVED

Tire pressure sensors and proximity sensors not working and a CATS fault all at once. Car drives like a truck.
would help if I knew where the modules are located and if it could be the same module or fuse. 2009 XKR portfolio
thanks

Prior to doing any further diagnostic work, determine if the vehicle has proper voltage available to the modules. Use a voltmeter to read the voltage across the battery terminals with the ignition in the OFF position. If the voltmeter shows less than 12.6 volts, charge the battery for five hours at 2 to 5 amps and retest using the voltmeter. If there is still less than 12.6 volts present, the battery is suspect and must be replaced.

Many of the electrical 'gremlins' chased on these forums is the result of a failing or weak battery.

There's useful graphics in the Workshop Manual section for Electronic Feature Group showing locations of all modules. It can be downloaded from the 'sticky' thread:

However, multiple concurrent issues is a classic symptom of a failing battery and, as NBCat suggests, you should first eliminate this as a possible cause before assuming more esoteric and expensive possibilities.

Did you fully charge the battery BEFORE fitting it?

Behind the rear seat back on the passenger side for your car. Lift the lower seat cushions and remove. Then there are two 10mm bolts holding the lower half go the seat back in place. Once removed, lift the seat back up then forward.

First check fuse F14 in the Central Junction Box - If that fuse is blown, you will get a very stiff ride.

Those won't solve you tire sensor issues those as the fuse is only for the control module.

If you added some bluetooth device, it can and has affected TPMS systems FWIW.

If one of your shocks are faulty it will throw a Cats code and put the entire setting in the firm setting . SDD should show which shock is faulty or you can test each one with multimeter

F14 fuse okay.
Is it okay to drive the vehicle with this fault. Will it cause additional problems?

It can put addition wear on rubber bushes etc however nothing major and it won't leave you stranded like a air suspension system.

Ive had my shock let go on a interstate trip, with 20s and low profiles I'm gathering you have the same I can tell you the ride was not fun at all .

Another word of advice very very important as I've seen a few guys get caught out, make sure the new shock or shocks are checked first to see that they are in working condition there's nothing worse then installing faulty parts.

Okay, I finally got a fault code for the front acceleration sensor. I found what I thought was the front sensor behind the washer reservoir, but it looks different then the one in the rear. I found one on line that looks like the rear sensor, but it is for 2010 and up.

It's been a while , but CATS fault reolved. The code said it was the acceleration sensor in the front, but that didn't resolve the problem. The module was defective and when replaced ll is fine. As for the parking aid problem, the code aid it was the front drivers side sensor, but that didn't solve that problem so I will work on that next. Probably change the module. Thanks for the advise.
