I have the same issue on my 2009 X150. Tilt works fine, reach does not function. Our mechanism is different than on the X100.
On the X150, a primary drive motor operates a worm gear shaft. There are two solenoids located along the shaft; when activated via the switch on the column, one solenoid engages the tilt function the other solenoid when actuated engages the reach (telescope) function. The main motor can run in either forward or reverse which translates to up/down or in/out depending on which solenoid is engaged on the worm drive shaft. On Ebay, search Jaguar C2P25507 and you'll find lots of good pics of the column for reference.
OK all that said, I haven't been able to fix mine just yet. What I can offer is a way to manually operate the reach function should you need to find a more comfortable driving position.
Since your main motor is running you can operate the telescope function by manually activating the reach solenoid. Do be careful, this can pinch your finger.
To access this area is tight. You'll need to remove the vanity panel just above the drivers feet to access the area. Slide the seat all the way back and you can squeeze in to look around. Once you acclimate yourself to the location of the solenoids, you can proceed:
Put the tilt in a midway position. Reach up to a point where you can just get your finger on top of the reach solenoid and push down on the spring-loaded plunger. Now, by operating the tilt function, the column will also move in/out depending on which direction you are tilting. I got mine into a comfortable, fixed position until I actually resolve this problem.
I wish I had a solid fix to offer, but I hope this info helps a bit in the meantime.
