Default Changing headliner color

I have a midnight-black XKR vert w/black top & charcoal interior and it's bothered me that the headliner, pillars and associated bits are light tan. I'm sure if I got all the parts through Jaguar it'd cost about the same as a new car, LOL.

Anyone ever change their headliner and corresponding bits to a different color than what came with their car?

Anyone interested in swapping all the included parts for mine? I know it's a loooong-shot but I have to ask....

Any input is appreciated.

Thanks

I think a competent auto uphosterer will be able to dye your top's interior fabric to a darker color. The hard plastic bits will be more difficult and more expensive. The first choice would be Jaguar OEM bits of the color (if available) you like. Next would be to color match with paint.

The tan color is kind of strange for a black interior. I wonder why they did that?

Agreed. Doesn't make much sense, but then again, neither do a lot of things Jaguar does
Love my ride, though...

Thankfully Jaguar still aren't half as bad as Aston Martin for wierd interior colours.
I've been dreaming of buyng a DB9 but it seems only about 1 in 10 of those available don't have some highly tasteless interior colour.

My other car has an all-black interior and it can feel a bit like you're sitting in a dark cave, particularly when the weather is gloomy. I also have the charcoal interior in my XKR coupe and it feels ligher and more airy inside for having the tan pillars and headlining. That said, black headlining does look nicer to my eye too...
