Default Changing radio stations

Is there any way to use the steering wheel control to scroll through radio stations that I store? If I try to use the steering wheel control to change stations on satellite radio, if goes to the next number in sequuence, not the next sored station.

Also the parental control and station skip options are greyed-out on the nav screen and I can't access those features. Any idea why?

Push and hold the steering wheel control either up or down for a couple of seconds. Then release. It switches to the next preset instead of scanning.

Learn something new everyday. This has bugged be since I bought the car, especially all my Sirius stations are all over the place.

Thanks for the tip.

You have to love this Forum! This has been one of my biggest pet peeves.

Thanks

Bummer, I had high hopes I finally found a solution to an annoying problem in our 08 XK. I spent 30 minutes fooling around in our 08 XK. This trick doesn't work on my 08 XK. BTW I looked in the Owners Manual and there is no mention of this. So maybe it only works on newer Jag's.

Oh well it sounded good.

Hrm. I just went out and tried it again. It does work after about 2 to 3 seconds... push up, hold for a couple secs, release, and voila -- next preset up, not next station up. My sirius stations are all over the place too. I wonder if there's a setting somewhere in the config for that?
