Exactly!

When I first introduced the idea of buying the Stingray to my wife she predictably vehemently protested, invoking the "No way, we don't need an other car", entirely rational form of reasoning.

To her surprise, I agreed with her; Yes, Hun, we truly do not NEED an other car. It is a LUXURY that we can afford and I much rather spend these monies on such needless, luxury items than leave it for some distant relatives (we have no kids) who could care less if we even existed; until it comes to inheritance :-).

In a matter of 10 minutes she agreed. My compromise was the color; red IS her color! (I like it too)

Personally I think you all should upgrade to a nice low miles 1/2 off msrp or more XKRS.... You could turn in the XJL and sell back the 2010 XKR and have one hell of a monster for next to nothing!!! I have a XKR and a XKR-S... no doubt they are 2 different beasts.... just my 2 cents. Or.. keep the XKR and get the stingray... THere is no wrong answer

Loth - My leased XJL will be turned in July. It has been altogether a very disappointing car for me. Love the styling, the luxury but, hate the ride quality. No excuse for making a luxury car ride with so much road surface input and vibration. Must say that the ride has loosened up during the 25,000 miles of my ownership and now almost Ok. Almost!

No need to upgrade to a different XKR, my '10 is gorgeous and with only 6700 miles on the odometer it is also flawless. It will be my daily driver once the XJL is turned in. Actually, it may share that DD status with the Stingray. The XKR is not going anywhere, it is my favorite car. Just recently got an extended 7 year warranty for it. The Stingray will by my "hobby" car where modifications will start as soon as it rolls off the delivery truck. Some parts are already on order, even before signing the final papers on the purchase. The one thing I really missed in the years of not owning an American muscle car; there is such a wide selection of very reasonably priced aftermarket parts that allow you to customize and play.

Yes, the vista is quite majestic. Your looking at just a small part of the Organ Mountains National Monument which is just 4 miles up the road from my backyard. The top peak to the left of the photo is about 9200 ft high.

Photo looks great when you open the thumbnail image and then click on the image to enlarge it. The mountains look different everyday.

And the Torch Red C7 Vette looks great sitting in between the Jaguar and the Porsche.

I guarentee, that you will really enjoy this car. The telemetry and instrumentation is awesome. The cockpit is awesome also.

Rescuing a Stingray from Good Ole Michigan winter. Finally on the truck in MI on its way to my home in warm CA, adjacent to some of the finest winding mountain roads.

About time that they deliver it, the mod parts are starting to pile up in my garage waiting for a car to be installed on... :-). Will immediately get a set of Z51 sway bars and bushings, front/side splitters, likely new wheels, get lowered... to start with...

Albert:

Nice looking ride. Congrats once again. Take a few pics of this baby sitting next to your collection of Jaguars. You won't believe whats coming. Enjoy, this is one awesome driving machine. Besure to provide your thoughts.
