Hello, I'm new to this forum and to being a Jaguar owner. I just purchased a 2008 XKR Portfolio convertible that has a wrinkled spot on the rear passenger side about 6" across. I'm wondering if anyone has had any luck in removing these. Thanks.

 

I used to have an 08 xk vert with a black top which looked very wrinkled on both sides behind the rear side windows. Those wrinkles come form lowering the top. In my experience they won't go away. I now have a 12 xk vert with a tan (canvas) colored top. The wrinkles are nowhere near as apparent and seem to disappear completely after the top has been left in the raised position for several hours. It's my guess that the "wrinkles" go with having a convertible; since noticing them on my 08 I started to look at all verts and see pretty much the same thing.

I also spoke to my dealer about them and they said that Jaguar might replace the top if the get really bad, but he never defined what he meant by really bad. Enjoy the Jaguar
