Coolant leak
So I had water pump reservoir hoses and other coolant hoses fixed on me 2012 xk still leaked told throttle body was leaking fixed and still leaking 3rd time told defective coupling on water pump warranties by mechanic and 2 weeks later( now) leaking again and looks to be front of engine again could coupling be defective again

I've seen people pinch the seals on the connecting pipe behind the water pump multiple times, so yes it is possible.
Is the shop using all original parts? Maybe they are installing something that isn't correct. Did they break the fitting on the upper radiator hose where the vent line connects to the water pump? If not replaced, that is a very common failure point as it's plastic and separates when you remove it, there is no way to fix it other than replacement if that happens. Comes as part of the upper hose.

I've had a similar situation with my home new a/c installation. I had 12 month labor (parts guaranteed for 10 years). Installer was out 9 times for the same and different problems. I have one week left, and I WON'T call the installer again for a different issue. I don't want him to put his hands on my unit again! This time, I'll pay to have someone I trust that knows what he is doing (hopefully) to look at it. My feelings are, if someone can't get the job done the first time, or second, or even third or more.....why let them even try anymore? If anything they can make things worse. I'd pay to have someone else look at the cooling system. I had 5 estimates for the total replacement of my cooling system on my Jag, and ended up going to Jaguar which charged almost double. At least I know they have an idea of what they were doing. Most shops don't even want to look at our cooling systems, and the ones that do usually state they are not liable if there is any collateral damage to the rest of the cooling system. Good luck with whatever you do... Let us know how you make out.

[QUOTE=bocatrip;2885545]If it were leaking from one of those seals, which is possible, is there a noticeable coolant smell? That at least would be starting point at where to look, towards the front of the engine compartment. I would do the sniff test every time I shut the car off......one or two drops of coolant on a hot surface can
Mechanic found defective split hose that he had replaced so he replaced it again and pressure tested system overnight before putting everything back together just picked it up today no charge so alls good said he never had 2 defective parts on a coolant system before he uses all own parts
Good idea for the future is to check coolant level each time you leave for the day. It should be right at the max mark between the two notches
I do mine every day regardless.
