You may want to edit your post.
Haha! Youre so sensitive and feisty. Your Portfolio is just another Jag. Stop trying to increase its value.

Agreed, hagerty is much better but I don't think they have good values for anything as "new" as an X350.

Bring a Trailer is the next best resource and according to them X350s are worth $125,000 ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Per CHATGPT; looks like the "machines" are smarter than humans:

As of my knowledge cutoff date of September 2021, the estimated value of a 2009 Jaguar XJ Super V8 Portfolio with less than 50,000 miles in good condition was between $25,000 to $35,000 USD. However, the value of a specific vehicle can still vary depending on various factors such as the condition, location, and options of the car, as well as market conditions. It's always recommended to check with a trusted local dealer or reputable online car valuation service to get a more accurate estimate of the value of a specific vehicle.

As of my knowledge cutoff date of September 2021, the estimated value of a 2009 Jaguar XJ Super V8 Portfolio with less than 100,000 miles in good condition was between $18,000 to $25,000 USD. we both wont sleep with you? Jokes aside, I dont think these prices are real market value. There are better cars to be had for that kind of money, and the fact you linked your “how rare is my 2009 Portfolio” thread is telling. Reminds me of guys who amp up their Rolex on other forums just so that they can ask for a premium. Get outta here with that crap.

I think the answer is that there is a top to every market that is exponentially higher than the rest of the market. Even "undesirable" markets like old Jags.

Is there really a 100k difference between a non-portfolio SC 4.2 X350 and a Portfolio? Probably not but a latest model, lowest mile, every option example is going to fetch multiples of other examples despite not being "worth it"

The top of the XKR market is a 2015 XKR S and with low miles it's worth what, 70, 80k? Multiples of my early model XKR.

I agree, except for "The top of the XKR market is a 2015 XKR S ...".

The most valuable X150 model is the one-year- only 2014 XKR-S GT, with only 45 examples made worldwide, of which 30 went to the North American market - 25 to the USA and 5 to Canada. All were Polaris White coupes with black racing stripes. For all the details, see: Car and Driver Magazine

Only two sold on BaT: https://bringatrailer.com/search/?s=...aguar+XKR-S+GT

Currently for sale for $160K: https://www.eliteautosllc.com/Pre-Ow...ansas-12184911

I did not even know of that car. Jaguar really went down the rabbit hole with model addendums didn't they. Personally I find that wing way too garish and if I sold my stock or crypto or company and wanted the best XK, I'd still hunt down a non-GT, but I guess the pure rarity would put it ahead for collectors.

The one that didn't sell; still doubt there is something going on with BAT?

There are many reasons why BaT will cancel an auction including, but not limited to, misrepresentation, shill bidding, and previous problems with a seller. For details, read the BaT Terms and Conditions.

Here's one example why BaT cancelled an auction:
https://jalopnik.com/the-reason-why-...0sx-1848733995

Exactly what happened with this 2014 XKR-S GT and the seller is unclear.

Bottom Line: Buyer Beware! Never trust and always verify!
BaT Doesn't Vet Buyers, Sellers, or the Cars!

For comparison, an XKR (2012, ca. 50,000km on the clock) in mint condition changed hands in Germany for 70,000 Euro.

..... and I bought my 2010 ten years ago with 50k miles and in near perfect condition (the //R on the boot was crooked) for $35,000.

Yeah I miss mine, wish I’d never sold it. Best sedan I’ve ever owned, and I’ve had many. I frequently look for a deal on one but no luck so far.

BAT is market driven. Supply and demand. Someone's impulse buy. Stupidity. Time of the year. Greedy sellers posting w/ reserve. Since this is an X150 forum my comment will be brief. XK8 prices have really flattened w/ a 10k decrease. Haven't checked yet to see if X150 comparable. Sorry another off topic comment but just bought an 07 XKR. Even the lowly 4.2 is the performance car deal of the century. It's only been a week so really am not looking for the 5.0 version. LOL yeah right.

Cars and Bids seems like more honest pricing if an auction site could be used a national pricing guide. Less vanity sales or one-in-a-million examples on the block.
